1867 – 1914
A singing society in Pezinok was established in November 1867. They have had succesful concerts since 1910. The Chorale performed at civic celebrations as well as at masses and services in Catholic and Protestant Churches. Franciscan Father Odorik Follrich started to form Pezinok´s Church Choir in 1914. Under the leadership of a great artist Eugen Suchoň the choir was changed into a mixed choir. In the 50-ies the activities of the choir were limited due to a communist anti-religions repressions. In these difficult conditions the choir practised in private houses under the guidance of Jarolim Šipoš. The choir did not cease to exist in the period of communist dictatorship, but it could not develop completely. Marian Šipoš is the last conductor and he replaced his father.
1914 - 1987
Today the Pezinok´s church choir AD UNA CORDA interprets mainly classical and modern church music. There are choral modifications of Slovak national folk songs in its repertoire, too. Choir took part at different competitions, festivals and concerts. The biggest successes of the choir are awards at different international competitions - Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina in Rome, Italy (1994 – special prize), Celebrations of music in Olomouc, Czech republic (1998 – 1st place), International choir competition in St. Quentin, France (2000 – 3rd place) and Malta choir competition in Valletta, Malta (2002 - 1st place).
1987 - 2003
The choir took part at a number of music festivals in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. In 1999 it successfully managed concert tour in the USA. It cooperated with orchestra of folk instruments “Radio Bratislava” in 1998 – 1999. Besides concerts the choir performs vocal-instrumental compositions at important masses. It performed for the first time a mass from a young Slovak composer Mirko Krajči in July 1998 in Bratislava. In October 2001, it presented together with the Orchestra of State Conservatoire the opening of Missa brevis in B, mass by J. L. Bella in Slovak Philharmonic. Every second year the choir AD UNA CORDA organizes an international festival of church choirs in Pezinok.

GENTLEMEN SINGERS

Vocal Ensemble, "The Gentlemen Singers" from Hradec Kralove, belongs to the youngest choirs of its kind and with its composition and repertoire it is rather unique to the Czech Republic. This nine–member ensemble with an average age of twenty-two was established in 2003 from "graduates" of the world-known Czech Boys Choir Boni Pueri. Nowadays it works under the auspices of rector of the University of Hradec Kralove.

In spite of its short history the Vocal Ensemble Gentlemen Singers has given several important concerts and performances in the Czech Republic and abroad. The Gentlemen Singers sang in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland and in the United States of America. They participated in two prestigious “World Festivals of Singing for Men and Boys“ in which they performed together with choirs from Europe, USA and Canada. As guests they are often invited to music festivals all over the Czech Republic. They also record musical programmes for television and radio, and they do not forget to perform for benefit concerts.

In the repertoire of the Vocal Ensemble Gentlemen Singers are represented a capella songs from one-voiced Gregorian chant to nine-voiced compositions written for the Gentlemen Singers by prominent Czech composers. Their concerts start with classical pieces by Lasso, Schubert, followed by Tchaikovsky and in the second part they sing Czech folk songs arranged by Antonin Dvorak or Leos Janacek. The third part consists of modern arrangements of world songs and spirituals. The selection of this programme was recorded on two ensemble´s profile albums called CANTO ERGO SUM (I sing, therefore I am) and The Gentlemen Singers LIVE.


BANCHIERI SINGERS

The members of the Banchieri Singers were all pupils of the Zoltán Kodály School in Nyíregyháza. After completing their studies at the school they formed their own group. At the beginning Dénes Szabó, who was their former and music tutor helped them in their musical advancement guiding their work with good advice and suggestions. After many success in local concerts, they performed extensively all over the country.

In their concerts, they often select repertoire which is sacred and profane, music from the renaissance era, combined with contemporary Hungarian music and arrangements of popular music. In a youth programme for the Hungarian Television ("Ace") the ensemble won first prize. After this success, they were invited by the Hungarian Television and Radio to perform in various towns throughout Hungary. The Banchieri Singers started the professional career after the success at Tolosa, Spain. Beside their performances in several different European countries, they had tours in Japan, and in the USA as well. The Banchieri Singers have recorded 7 different CDs. "Banchieri Singers" "Musica" "Lily song" "Illés szekerén" "East and West" "L'anima spiro" "Masterpiece". The ensemble respects and honours Zoltán Kodály's intellectual heritage and they have been undertaking the task of popularising his music pedagogy since the beginning of their establishment. Part of their ambition is to popularise the music system of Zoltán Kodály, and make it approachable and enjoyable for everyone. This is why they choose their denominator, Adriano Banchieri and his thoughts for their slogan: „As well as serious dramatic works people need joy, pieces providing light entertainment.Do one of them well and enjoy the other."


DETSKÝ SPEVÁCKY ZBOR SRo

Detský spevácky zbor Slovenského rozhlasu založil v roku 1953 slovenský skladateľ a dirigent Ondrej Francisci. Od svojho pôvodu nahral zbor viac ako 500 piesní a cyklov pre rozhlasové vysielanie a niekoľko CD produkcii.
Detský zbor pravidelne spolupracuje so Symfonickým Orchestrom Slovenského rozhlasu, ako aj s inými orchestrami, súbormi a dirigentmi.
Bol účastníkom na hudobných festivaloch v Bratislave, Brne, Prahe a zorganizoval koncerty pre ruské, bulharské, maďarské, rakúske, nemecké, belgické, talianske, turecké, portugalské a francúzske obecenstvo.
Zbor bol ocenený cenami na medzinárodných súťažiach zboru v Taliansku, Nemecku a v bývalom Československu.
Široká škála štýlov a žánrov sa zachováva v dramaturgii zboru – od náboženskej hudby cez jednoduché národné piesne po súčasné diela, spolu s elektroakustickými kompozíciami, ktoré sú použité v niektorých dielach repertoáru zboru.
Vedúci zborov Marián Vach a od roku 1984 Janka Rychlá rozšírili možnosti repertoáru zboru, vybudovali jeho medzinárodnú reputáciu a rozvinuli kvalitu nahrávania tohto detského súboru až po najvyššiu kvalitu.
Terajším vedúcim zboru je Adrián Kokoš, ktorý začal pracovať pre detský zbor Slovenského rozhlasu v roku 2004, v súčasnosti pokračuje v úspešnej ceste pravidelných koncertných vystúpení a nahrávok s týmto hudobným súborom.

UNIVERZITNÝ ZBOR Z BYDGOSZCZI

Akademický zbor z Bydgoszczi reprezentuje Univerzitu Kazimíra Veľkého v Bydgoszczi a je vedený profesorom Sylwestrom Matczakom, ktorý je zárukov vysokého umeleckého výkonu. Speváci sú študentmi tejto univerzity. Zbor interpretuje diela a capella od skladateľov zo všetkých hudobných epoch od renesancie po súčasnosť.
Repertoár študentského zboru obsahuje aj veľké vokálne diela, ktoré zbor spieval s rôznymi orchestrami v Poľsku (Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Toruń, Koszalin, Lódz) a v zahraničí (Nemecko, Dánsko, Česká republika, Slovensko, Estónsko). Zbor získal veľa cien v európskych zborových súťažiach, uskutočnil aj nahrávku pre poľské a európske rádio a televíziu, medzi inými aj pre WDR v Nemecku.
